Fatima Garelnabi studied psychology, music and art and has 18 years of experience teaching art and crafts. She has taught painting and pottery making to over 1000 children and adults. She believes that every child is an artist and works with children with special needs in Uganda.
To preserve the ancient arts Fatima organizes workshops and events to promote the use of ancient techniques like hand building and using barkcloth for art and crafts. Fatima’s goal is to develop unique pieces that celebrate her rich ancestry and heritage.
“My dream is to create sacred spaces for all to creatively express themselves and keep the ancient arts alive”
